Job Title: Data Optimization Assistant (AEARI Project)

Work hours:

  • The work schedule for a DOA is flexible and can be modified to meet the specific needs of the facility to which they are assigned.
  • A DOA is required to work a minimum of 15 hours per week and must visit the assigned facilities at least once weekly.
  • Frequency of Work:
  • The DOA will collaborate with facility staff daily and ensure regular visits to facilities.
  • The DOA is expected to visit each assigned facilities at least 3 time in a week.

Report:

  • The DOA will harvest data from all facilities he/she is assigned to and transcribe them to appropriate forms and platforms.
  • The DOA will also submit a monthly report on assigned facilities to the project M&E Lead.
  • Place of assignment:
  • The DOA will be allocated a minimum of 3 and a maximum of 5 health facilities, with assignments focused on facilities within the same LGA or neighbouring LGAs for operational efficiency. In cases of underperformance, DOAs may be reassigned to different LGAs as part of performance management measures.
  • Other duties as assigned by the M and E Lead.

Key Deliverables

  • The DOA is expected to ensure that all MNH innovation services in the assigned health facilities are routinely documented in the appropriate NHMIS / Program tools / registers by designated facility staff.
  • The DOA will also participate in quarterly client exit interviews (CEI) in facilities where he/she is assigned.
  • Ensure completeness and accuracy of data on program specific registers and NHMIS tools.
  • Ensure date concurrence between registers and reporting platforms through frequent data triangulation.
  • Ensure that the monthly summary form is fully completed using data from primary data sources.
  • Conduct monthly reviews of facility-level data with facility recorders and organize data reconciliation meetings to ensure that the collected data aligns with NHMIS data sources.
  • Conduct first level data triangulation.
  • Enter assigned facility level data on DHIS monthly and ensure all data are captured correctly

Essential Qualities

Essential Qualities
  • Should possess at least a Diploma or Bachelor's Degree.
  • A Master's Degree or higher would be an added advantage.
  • 2 - 3 years previous experience in data collection, research, or fieldwork activities preferred.
  • Strong understanding of NHMIS data tools and reporting processes
  • Proficiency in basic computer skills and familiarity with data collection tools or software
  • Conversant with the use of Microsoft Office Applications – MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English as well as presentation skills.
  • Be resident in LGA of concern in Lagos State and possess good knowledge of the terrain.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations.
  • Attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy while working in fast-paced environments.
  • Demonstrated diligence and commitment in delivery of assigned deliverable (Added advantage).
