Job Description
Assist survivors of gender-based violence (GBV) by respecting the guiding principles on working with survivors and applying the survivor-centered approach;
To ensure the referral and counter-referral of survivors with other partners in order to ensure holistic care;
Follow up on cases handled according to the action plan agreed upon with the survivors;
Facilitating group discussions with survivors;
Provide information to the GBVIMS Focal Point for the compilation and updating of the GBVIMS database;
Participate in visibility activities for international days such as International Women's Day and the 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence campaign;
Prepare a plan of activities on a monthly and weekly basis;
Provide the necessary elements for monthly and annual reports;
To encourage a good working environment and good relationships between project staff.

Administrative, financial and logistical management
Participate in planning meetings with the Protection Officer;
Participate in the development and monitoring of expenditure plans;
Plan supplies for project activities in collaboration with your supervisor;
Prepare purchase requests for equipment;
Comply with all IRC administrative, financial and logistical procedures;
Work closely with the logistics manager and field colleagues to plan vehicle organization;
Strictly adhere to the budget.
Communication et collaboration
Maintain good relations with all stakeholders in the community to encourage better communication and coordination;
Collaborate and explain the intervention plan to others;
Inform the GBV case manager upon return from the field of the activities carried out on a daily basis;
Prepare activity reports as requested by the supervisor.
Other Responsibilities
Represent the IRC professionally to local authorities, members of the communities concerned and to all other organizations;
Strictly adhere to the applicable safety instructions;
Respect the IRC Ethics Policy;
Perform any other tasks that fall within the IRC mission as requested by the supervisor.
Professional Qualifications

| International Relations, Development, Humanitarian Management | Degree in social work, psychology, sociology or a related field Experience in the field of gender-based violence and/or social work; Experience working in a restrictive environment and flexibility to work in the refugee and returnee environment; Good organizational and time management skills; A good understanding of the issue of gender; Good understanding of the confidentiality issues in the collection and sharing of data on GBV; Organizational and communication skills; Proficiency in computer tools, especially MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint; Demonstrate tact and a keen sense of discretion; Perfect command of French and Kirundi; Good command of Swahili. |
