How can you make a difference?

The P3 Advocacy and Communication Specialist is accountable for coordinating, implementing, monitoring and evaluating advocacy and communication strategies to achieve positive outcomes for children and young people.

Essential Qualities

Essential Qualities
  • Education: Master or equivalent (Advanced University Degree) in Public Policy, Political Science, International Relations, International Development, Public Administration, Economics, Communication, or another relevant field is required.
  • Work Experience: At least 5 years of relevant work experience in advocacy, campaigning, or communications is required.
  • Skills: Advocacy Strategy, Social Media, Content Development, Project Management, Budget Management, Public Policy
  • Language Requirements: Fluency in French and at least intermediate knowledge of English is required.

Desirables

  • Knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, Russian or Spanish) or a local language is an asset.
  • Experience in advocacy at the international level, training and facilitation, partnership development and management, and working in developing and emergency environments is an asset.
  • Previous experience working within the United Nations system is an asset.
  • Relevant experience at country level, particularly in development, fragile settings and humanitarian contexts.
