Key Deliverables

  • Day to day management of claims - registering of claims on in-house system (Winfreight).
  • Verify and compare claims against endorsements on proof of delivery (POD)/ load documents.
  • Investigate validity of claims, resolve queries in a timeous manner.
  • Liaise with clients, loading / offloading points, carriers, insurers, as well as internal stakeholders (Operations, Debtors, Creditors & POD departments) to resolve claims.
  • Prepare and process accurate claim documentation for invoicing.
  • Effective reporting of claims, claim statistics, claim trends, etc.
  • General administrative tasks, filing and recordkeeping.
  • Accurate and complete claims procedure.
  • Resolution of claims within agreed deadlines.
  • Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) relating to claims processes.
  • Accurate reporting / statistics / claims information on Winfreight.
  • Ensuring accurate and efficient communication with management and colleagues to promote efficiency and to ensure irregularities / business risks are highlighted.
  • Maintain good working relationship with colleagues & retain exceptional service levels.

Essential Qualities

Essential Qualities
  • Matric
  • Relevant Degree or other tertiary qualification will be an advantage
  • At least 5 years' experience in a Logistics / Insurance environment.
  • Value-add and continuous contribution / improvement.
  • Winfreight / Soloplan.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office.
