Job Description
The Accountability Officer's role is to implement systems that promote NRC's accountability to various stakeholders, particularly beneficiaries and the communities in which NRC works. The Accountability Officer is responsible for ensuring the field implementation of the Complaints and Feedback Mechanism (CFM) with technical support from the Country Office's Accountability Coordination team. They will report on the CFM's performance in their areas of operation, participate in disseminating the various tools, and raise awareness among staff and the community to promote ownership of the CFM.

Ensure the integration of accountability into the NRC project cycle, by strengthening community participation in general and that of people with specific needs and children in particular.Raise awareness within the NRC intervention area community about the different feedback management channels and ensure the systematic documentation and management of feedback and complaints received through various channels (CFM) put in place (toll-free number, complaint management committees, suggestion box, meetings, discussion groups, interviews, etc.).Submit the data and report to your supervisor and the Accountability Coordination team within the required timeframe.Strengthen the capacity of NRC staff in collaboration with the Accountability Coordination, during induction of new staff and during briefings of former staff in order to recall certain relevant CFM concepts and share lessons learned in accountability.Ensure the implementation of Child-Centered Family Medicine (CFM) in projects targeting children and contribute to reporting on the problems faced by children in NRC activities for appropriate care, in accordance with NRC's Child Protection Policy.Participate in the design and improvement of feedback and complaint management tools as well as in the development of projects/accountability section, based on field experience and lessons learned.Collect community feedback and record it regularly in the complaints database and then provide feedback to beneficiary communities regularly in collaboration with the program team.At the request of the supervisor, perform other tasks and assume other responsibilities than those defined in this job profile, when the situation requires it.

| Social Sciences | University degree (Bachelor's + 3 years) in sociology, law, community development or other related field, At least 1 year of experience as an assistant or accountability officer, protection, PSEA or other related field. High sense of confidentiality, objectivity, honesty and integrity. Proven expertise in managing sensitive information and protecting data. Computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); High level of French (spoken and written); Perfect knowledge of at least two national languages (Lingala, Swahili, Alur, Lendu). Having knowledge of data management software (ODK, KOBO Collect, etc.) is an asset. |
