The Partnerships and Business Development Officer is responsible for identifying, cultivating, and managing strategic partnerships that align with organization goals, while also driving sales and revenue growth through effective sales strategies and execution. This role requires a blend of sales acumen, relationship-building skills, and strategic thinking to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes with partners and customers.

Key Deliverables

Partnership Development: 

  • Identify and research potential partnership opportunities that align with the company's strategic objectives. 
  • Develop and implement strategies to acquire new partners and expand existing partnerships. 
  • Negotiate and finalize partnership agreements, ensuring favourable terms for the company. 
  • Manage and maintain strong relationships with existing partners, addressing any issues or concerns promptly. 
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless integration of partners into the company's ecosystem. 

Sales and Revenue Generation: 

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve sales targets and revenue goals. 
  • Identify and qualify leads, and convert them into sales opportunities. 
  • Present organization’s products or services to potential customers, highlighting their value proposition. 
  • Manage the sales pipeline, track progress, and provide regular reports to management. 
  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and sales activities in the CRM system. 

Relationship Management: 

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, both internal and external. 
  • Act as a point of contact for partners, addressing their needs and concerns effectively. 
  • Represent the organization at industry events and partner meetings. 
  • Provide regular feedback to management on market trends and competitive activities. 

Performance Management: 

  • Track and analyze partnership and sales performance, identifying areas for improvement. 
  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize partnership and sales performance. 
  • Contribute to the development of new products and services based on market feedback and partner needs.  

Academic Experiences

Bachelor'S Degree Business Administration and Social Studies

Essential Qualities

Essential Qualities
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience in sales, partnerships, or agribusiness. 
  • Proven experience in partnership development and sales, preferably in a similar industry. 
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills. 
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills. 
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. 
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite. 
  • Knowledge of sales and marketing principles and best practices. 
  • Ability to travel regularly at least 60% of the time.  
  • Driving License: Valid driving license is required.
