The Maintenance Officer is responsible for ensuring that all restaurant facilities, equipment, and utilities are in safe, functional, and optimal working condition.

• The role involves carrying out preventive and corrective maintenance on kitchen equipment, dining facilities, plumbing, electrical systems, and general infrastructure to minimize downtime and support smooth restaurant operations. 
  

• Conduct routine inspections of kitchen equipment (ovens, fryers, refrigerators, chillers, etc.) and dining facilities to ensure proper functioning.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
• Respond promptly to breakdowns and emergencies to reduce disruption in restaurant operations.
• Maintain maintenance logs, records of repairs, and service schedules.
• Coordinate with external contractors and service providers for major repairs or installations.
• Ensure that all equipment is compliant with safety and health regulations.
• Monitor energy and utility usage, identifying opportunities to reduce costs.
• Assist in the setup and maintenance of fire safety systems (extinguishers, alarms, sprinklers).
• Support the procurement team in sourcing quality spare parts and maintenance materials.
• Train staff on basic equipment care and safe usage practices.
