Job Summary

  • We are seeking for a Procurement Officer who will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing quality goods and services needed for the company's operations.
  • This includes managing supplier relationships, ensuring timely delivery, maintaining cost efficiency, and supporting inventory planning to ensure consistent stock levels.

Salary

N120,000 – 150,000 Monthly.

Key Deliverables

  • Communicate with various departments to identify and understand their needs.
  • Compile and maintain a list of required supplies and other items.
  • Monitor and adhere to the company’s purchasing budget.
  • Find cost effective solutions without compromising quality.
  • Identify reliable vendors and establish good working relationships with them.
  • Negotiate prices, payment terms, and delivery schedules.
  • Create and maintain a procurement schedule to ensure timely acquisition of necessary items.
  • Place orders for required items, ensuring accurate and timely delivery.
  • Track orders and resolve any issues related to delays or discrepancies.
  • Inspect purchased items to ensure they meet the company’s standards and requirements.
  • Address any quality issues with suppliers promptly.
  • Prepare and submit purchase reports and expense claims.
  • Ensure all purchases comply with the company’s procurement policies and procedures.
  • Stay updated on relevant laws and regulations regarding purchasing and procurement.
  • Arrange for the transportation and delivery of purchased items to the office.
  • Manage storage and distribution of items within the office.
  • Solicit feedback from staff regarding the purchased items and their suitability.
  • Suggest improvements to the procurement process for greater efficiency and cost savings.
  • Handle urgent or unexpected procurement needs promptly and efficiently.
  • Stay informed about market trends and new products that may benefit the company.
  • Conduct price comparisons to ensure the company is getting the best deals.

Essential Qualities

Essential Qualities
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or related field.
  • 2 - 4 years experience in a similar procurement role, preferably in food service, retail, or hospitality.
  • Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
  • Good understanding of inventory and supply chain systems.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and procurement software/tools.
  • Attention to detail, with good analytical and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple sourcing needs simultaneously.
