Key Deliverables

Horizon Systems Management and Data Storage

  • Ensure Horizon is updated for all ADPs and information is shared for decision making.
  • Regularly monitor system/application updates and upgrade the system accordingly.
  • Support AP team to create profile, log in, upload DIP, etc. in Horizon app.

Management of the sponsorship system and its performance

  • Monitor security and risk management regarding child information and sponsorship systems.
  • Enter child sponsorship data/information and Support Office (SO) communications through manual entry, form scanning, editing, verifying, validating and loading child information into Horizon
  • Generate all system reports such as Hope Management, Child Match Forms, Detailed Match Report and Export Validation Forms for Regional Programs.
  • Perform system upgrades and ensure access points are running on current versions.
  • Process all correspondence in Horizon-Hope, if applicable.
  • Enter child monitoring data using Horizon.
  • Ensure the implementation of all sponsorship systems and software support auditors by providing audit information during regional program audits.
  • Maintain the security of sponsorship data, system resources and sponsor addresses.

Identify/capture and disseminate knowledge

  • Work with the CWB Facilitator to capture/document lessons, best practices and innovations and ensure they are shared in annual, semi-annual, CWB reports and any other relevant communications to stakeholders.
  • Ensure effective exchange and sharing of information between programs, the communications team and the DME for effective knowledge management.

Support for other DME processes

  • Review cluster monitoring and evaluation databases and quarterly reports to ensure quality, completeness and timeliness, and share the status report with the supervisor and cluster managers for action.
  • Update and manage the cluster M&E database, establish performance trends and share quarterly reports with the supervisor and cluster managers.
  • Trace the main operational programming processes in the cluster and programs, and participate in the process of their analysis and improvement.
  • Provide support to the cluster team during the design process, to ensure a quality process and guidance.
  • Participate in Child Well Being Tracking (CWBT) reporting using relevant information, such as outcome and output monitoring data, as well as innovations and lessons learned.

Essential Qualities

Essential Qualities
  • Have at least a Bachelor's degree in computer science; or other equivalent diploma.
  • Have at least two (2) years of experience in a similar position.
  • Having experience in database management would be an asset.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Excellent computer skills, including MS Office, Excel, Word, Internet and PowerPoint. Knowledge of statistical software packages will be an added advantage.
  • Good analytical and writing skills; Basic understanding of design, monitoring and evaluation.
  • Good data analysis and reporting/presentation skills
  • Good knowledge of GIS, and the use of mobile technology for data collection and analysis, LQAS methodology and any other relevant technology
  • Basic knowledge of the operation and effective use of mobile devices
  • Have a minimum knowledge of the quality standards of the sponsorship management system
  • Have a command of written and spoken French and English
  • Language skills in English
  • Ability to work without supervision and under pressure
  • Ability to learn and adapt to new initiatives and self-training
  • Ability to work in the field
