Key Deliverables

  • Implement team operational plans to ensure defined objectives are met. 
  • Adhere to statutory regulations, organisational standards, policies and procedures. 
  • Report non-compliance and implement corrective actions to ensure compliance. 
  • Ensure compliance to all applicable legislation, international, local and company standards, policies and procedures. 
  • Create and maintain a safe operating environment for all Stakeholders. 
  • Conduct compliance inspections, report on and follow-up to ensure that non-conformances/compliance have been addressed. 
  • Respond to incidents and accidents, conduct preliminary investigation, root cause analysis and recommend corrective actions. 
  • Gather and capture information in respect of SHE occurrences, incidents, accidents and non-conformances. 
  • Obtain information, check for accuracy and capture data. File documents per procedure. 
  • Participate in implementation of Safety Campaigns. 
  • Train and conduct relevant Safety campaigns with the airport community. 
  • Comply with work rules, standards and methods. 
  • Take care to minimise waste. 
  • Identify and provide feedback on cost saving initiatives within area of control. 
  • Complete Individual Development Plan. 
  • Attend learning and development courses. 
  • Participate in peer and team learning initiatives. 
  • Build, support and maintain interpersonal and team relationships to ensure stable working environment and achievement of team objectives. 

Essential Qualities

Essential Qualities
  • Grade 12 National Senior Certificate is essential.
  • Diploma in Safety Management/Environment Managemental Management/Natural Sciences or Equivalent Qualification is essential. (Bachelor’s Degree is recommended)
  • 1-2 Years operational experience Safety / Environmental / Risk Management / Public Health is essential.
  • 1-2 Years operational experience in Construction Management is recommended. 
  • 2 Years operational experience in safety management in an airport environment is recommended.
  • Code B driver’s license.
  • Basic Ms Office Competence
