Operations Manager at GSM

Position: Operation Supervisor

Reporting to: Operations Manager Business Unit: GSM Beverages Duty Station: Dar es Salaam

Supervise all beverage factory operations, including loading, offloading, stacking, and dispatching to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
Ensure goods and containers received align with procurement orders and shipping documentation, and update ERP records accordingly.
Coordinate inbound and outbound logistics for raw materials, packaging, finished goods, and spare parts.
Monitor and control utilization of company vehicles, forklifts, and transport equipment to ensure operational efficiency.
Oversee warehouse inventory, ensuring physical stock tallies with ERP data through regular stock reconciliations.
Enforce adherence to operational procedures, SHEQ standards, and compliance requirements.
Prepare and submit timely reports on operations, inventory, and logistics performance.
Supervise and motivate the operations team to maintain discipline, safety, and productivity.
Liaise with procurement, warehouse, and logistics departments for smooth operational execution.

Essential Qualities
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field. Minimum of 3 years’ experience in operations or logistics supervision within a manufacturing or FMCG environment. Proven experience with ERP systems and inventory management. Strong leadership, coordination, and reporting skills. Excellent understanding of warehouse and logistics operations. Good communication and problem-solving abilities.
