Job Description
We are seeking for the DW Akademie for the office in Kampala, Uganda as of 1 April 2025 or as soon as possible a Project Associate (f/m/d) Media Development Uganda based on a full-time local staff contract initially limited until 31 December 2027.

NoKey Deliverables
- support the project team in implementing the BMZ-funded project “Media Development in Uganda and Tanzania”
- assist in budget preparation, expense tracking, monitoring, and financial reporting, ensuring compliance with financial policies and donor requirements
- prepare and process financial transactions, including invoices, payments, and reimbursements, and maintain accurate financial records and documentation; file PAYE and NSSF contributions
- liaise with external consultants and DW Akademie's finance team in Germany, and brief local partner organizations on financial issues such as budgets and accountancy
- work closely with the Project Manager and other team members based in Uganda and Germany and provide administrative support for project activities, including travel, accommodation, event logistics, and maintain up-to-date project documentation and records
- manage office supplies and equipment, ensuring adequate inventory levels, and assist in organizing meetings, workshops, and conferences
- support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and information, and assist in monitoring and evaluating project phases
- prepare presentations and papers for stakeholder meetings, and network with local partners, institutions, and organizations
