The Key Purpose:

The key purpose of this role is to provides process engineering expertise to the line teams, optimize production processes, facilitates problem solving and decision making, work in teams, maintain a healthy and safe  working environment.

Key outputs and responsibilities:

  • Drive VPO safety and environment pillar: Signs off the use Chemical Substances in the department and Legal Requirements for responsible areas.
  • Provide process knowledge and the associated control systems that are associated with each of the listed process areas e.g. EBIs FBIs
  • Develop a Quality Always Culture in Packaging and drive adherence to the quality standards.
  • Drives improvement in Packaging Performance through the analysis of waste and by-product streams A
  • Identifies improvement opportunities through plant performance through analysis of data, sensorial contributors, Trade Quality indicators and  Productivity Indicators (Fixed Industrial Cost (FIC) and Variable Industrial Cost (VIC))
  • Drive the use and coach on 5 Why process, Abnormality report SDCA / PDCA and ITF (Improvement Task Force). Apply Problem solving and decision-  making techniques and principles
  • Drives the purpose and principles of Asset Management and ATO in Packaging Contributes to Cost Control in Packaging Contributes to Machine reliability
  • Understands and drives the execution of the Packaging Strategy, proactiveness in Packaging process
  • Drives the implementation and understanding of the C&A Tool Kit ,Control and Automation Infrastructure, Data Acquisition, Calibration, Abnormal  operation condition management, Security and System governance, Disaster Recovery, Reliability Measures, Cost of Maintenance, and Technical Skills
  • Provides Technical support on Process Control and Associated technologies, Design, Implement and/or Maintain system platforms, Batch technologies,  HMI Technologies. Provide Technical support on Manufacturing execution systems
  • Optimize PLC and SCADA hardware and software standards for site , Networks and servers ,Microsoft server software , Manufacturing Execution systems
  • (MES), PLC systems, Manufacturing processes ,S88 batch control standard, Field instrumentation and networks ,SCADA systems

Profile:

Education

  • Min Bachelor's degree holders in Electrical and Electronics

Experience

  • Min 3 years experience with Control and Automation preferably in a FMCG
