• Oversee daily manufacturing operations including extrusion, thermoforming, injection molding or blow molding (depending on packaging type).
• Ensure that production targets are met in terms of volume, cost and quality.
• Develop and implement production schedules.
• Efficiently allocate resources (machines, labor, materials) to meet production deadlines.
• Track key production performance indicators (OEE, downtime, scrap rate, etc.).
• Ensure products meet customer specifications and industry standards.
• Organize training and skills development programs.
• Supervise preventive maintenance and repairs of machinery and equipment.
• Coordinate with the purchasing department for timely procurement of raw materials such as resins, dyes and additives.
• Manage operational budgets and reduce production costs.
• Identify opportunities to reduce costs without compromising quality or safety.
• Drive lean manufacturing or Six Sigma initiatives.
• Analyze production data to identify areas for improvement.
