Org. Setting and Reporting: This position is in the Movement Control Section of the United Nations Mission in South Sudan (UNMISS), Juba. The incumbent will report to the Movement Control Officer, Consolidated Cargo Movement Office, Juba or his/her designate.
Eligibility Criteria
Education:
- High School diploma or equivalent is required.
Job – Specific Qualification:
- Valid driving license and ability to drive manual transmission vehicles are required. Please attach copy of valid driver’s license showing the categories of vehicles/equipment on your driving license.
Work Experience:
- A minimum of three (3) years of progressively responsible experience in Movement Control, multi-modal transportation, airline operations or related field is required. Please explain how you meet this requriement.
- Experience preparing cargo manifests/documentation relating to at least two modes of transportation is required. Please how you meet this requirement.
- Experience in Electronic Cargo Booking System (e-CBS) is required. Please explain how you meet this requirement.
- Experience in operating various Heavy-Duty Vehicles, Material Handling Equipment and Ground Handling Equipment is required. Please explain how you meet this requirement.
- Experience in the use of IATA rules and procedures for the transportation of dangerous goods, airside safety and cargo securement is required. Please explain how you meet this requirement.
- Experience liaising with local authorities and freight forwarders on cargo related matters is desirable. Please explain how you meet this criterion.
Languages:
- Fluency in oral and written English is required. Knowledge of languages spoken in South Sudan is desirable.
